8th Pay Salary Calculator

Estimate a possible revised basic pay and monthly salary. This calculator is designed to be easy for new joinees as well as existing Central Government employees.

For new joinees: If you only know your basic pay, start with that. The other fields are optional scenario inputs. If you do not know them, you can leave them at 0 and test different assumptions.

What is it? Your basic pay before allowances. You can find it in your appointment letter, pay details or salary statement.

DA means Dearness Allowance. It is a percentage of basic pay. Example: 60% DA on ₹42,000 = ₹25,200.

What is it? A multiplier used to create a salary-revision scenario. Example: 2.00 × ₹42,000 = ₹84,000 revised basic. The final 8th CPC factor is not official.

What is it? The DA percentage you want to test after the assumed pay revision. Do not assume today's DA will automatically be the future 8th CPC DA.

HRA means House Rent Allowance. Enter the percentage you want to use for your scenario. Actual HRA depends on applicable rules.

Enter any other monthly allowance you want to include in your estimate. If you do not know it, leave it at ₹0.

Enter your figures and calculate.

What should a new joinee enter?

If you are a new joinee and only know your basic pay, enter your Basic Pay and an Assumed Fitment Factor. You can leave the optional allowance fields at 0 if you do not know them.

How the calculation works

Estimated revised basic pay = Current basic pay × Assumed fitment factor.

The calculator then estimates DA, HRA and other allowances using the percentages and amounts you enter.

Important

This is a scenario-based calculator. It does not predict or confirm your official 8th CPC salary. Final pay, fitment factor, DA, HRA and other rules will depend on official recommendations and government orders.
