How this calculator works

This tool first estimates your current monthly salary from Basic Pay, current DA, current HRA and other allowances. It then applies your assumed fitment factor to Basic Pay and adds the assumed new DA, new HRA and other allowances.

Estimated Revised Basic = Current Basic × Assumed Fitment Factor
Current Salary = Basic + Current DA + Current HRA + Other Allowances
Estimated Revised Salary = Revised Basic + New DA + New HRA + Other Allowances
Salary Hike = Revised Salary − Current Salary

Who can use this calculator?

Example

Suppose your Basic Pay is ₹42,000, current DA is 60%, the assumed fitment factor is 2.00, new DA is 0%, and both current and estimated HRA are 10%.

The calculator estimates the current monthly salary at ₹71,400. The estimated revised monthly salary becomes ₹92,400, giving an estimated monthly increase of ₹21,000 or about 29.41%.

This is only an example based on assumptions. It does not represent an official 8th CPC salary calculation.

No. This calculator uses assumptions. Final salary changes depend on the official recommendations and government decisions.

What is a fitment factor?

A fitment factor is a multiplier that can be used to estimate a revised Basic Pay from an existing Basic Pay. The final 8th CPC factor has not been fixed here.

Does salary hike mean only Basic Pay increases?

No. Your total monthly salary can also depend on DA, HRA and other allowances. That is why this calculator shows both Basic Pay and estimated total monthly salary.

Can a new joinee use this calculator?

Yes. A new joinee can enter the expected Basic Pay and test different assumptions to understand how a revised salary could change.
