8th Pay Commission Arrears Calculator

Estimate possible arrears under an 8th Pay Commission scenario. This calculator is designed for serving employees, new joinees, and people who want to understand how arrears could work.

Important: The final 8th CPC pay matrix, fitment factor, implementation date and arrear rules are not official yet. This calculator gives a scenario-based estimate only.

1. Your current pay details

Pay Level: Your position in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Select it if you know it; the calculation uses your actual basic pay.

Grade Pay: An older 6th CPC term. Under the 7th CPC, the pay matrix uses Levels instead.

Basic Pay: Enter the basic pay from your current pay details.

DA = Dearness Allowance. Enter the DA rate used for the current-salary comparison.

2. 8th CPC scenario

A multiplier used only for your estimate. It is not presented as the official 8th CPC factor.

The DA rate you want to test after the assumed pay revision.

Arrear months: The number of months for which you want to estimate the pay difference.

Optional monthly amount included in both current and estimated totals.

Enter your figures and calculate.
How to understand the result: The calculator compares an estimated current monthly total with an estimated revised monthly total, then multiplies the monthly difference by your assumed arrear months.

What are 8th CPC arrears?

Arrears are the difference between what was paid and what would be payable under a revised structure for an applicable past period, if an official order provides for such payment.

Why are Pay Level and Grade Pay included?

Pay Level identifies the 7th CPC position. Grade Pay is included for people looking at older 6th CPC records. The 7th CPC Pay Matrix replaced the older Grade Pay-based structure.

Important

This calculator does not decide eligibility. Actual arrears will depend on official 8th CPC recommendations, government decisions, the applicable implementation date, pay fixation rules, DA treatment and other official instructions.
